Adventures with John James Audubon
As part of an ongoing celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Elgin Public Museum building, John James Audubon will appear to talk about his quest to draw every bird in North America.
Brian Fox becomes Audubon, using historical journals, essays and prints to portray America’s most famous bird artist. The Elgin Public Museum was an Audubon Museum for nearly 40 years.
Pre-registration is required. Partially funded through Illinois Humanities Council.
$5 each.

The League of United Latin American Citizens for the Elgin Area is pleased to host the 51st Annual LULAC State Convention and Training Seminar. We are pleased to have Sylvia Puente, named one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the U.S. today. We will have a job and health fair as well as training about how to run a small business, how to select and pay for college, and much more.
