(Elgin, IL) The Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is proud to announce the first ever restaurant week for Chicagoland’s Northern Fox River Valley. This week is all about bringing out the inner foodie of locals and attracting visitors to try some of the delicious cuisine offered throughout the area.

Restaurants throughout the nine communities represented by the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau were offered the opportunity to submit either prix fixe menus or sampler dishes in the $20, $30 or $40 price range. Some of the establishments participating include: Chooch’s Pizza, Dog’s Paw Brewing, Village Squire South Elgin and Herb’s Bakery. Promotions vary from Herb’s Bakery offering a sampler for $20 to Chooch’s Pizza offering a dinner for two people for $20. This is the perfect opportunity to get out and try a restaurant you have wanting to try.

The Elgin Area CVB will continue to accept restaurants and specials up until Wednesday, March 23. We want to have as many restaurants as possible for this free promotion. If you are interested in participating please email Krisilee Murphy at [email protected] to get the form.

A Restaurant Week Photo Contest will enable patrons to post of a photo to Instagram of their meal at a participating restaurant during the promotion week using the hashtag #FoodontheFox for a chance to win numerous restaurant gift certificates. Entrants are asked to include where the photo was taken and a brief description.
