NICK’S PIZZA & PUB HOSTS BENEFIT FOR
03/22/2011 – 100 percent of the profits for the day will be donated to the organization
(CRYSTAL LAKE, IL; March 22, 2011) – Nick’s Pizza & Pub is hosting a benefit to support the Children’s Center for Autism (CCA) on Thursday, April 28, 2011. The benefit is one of the largest held for the year and is hosted in conjunction with April’s National Autism Awareness Month. The total net profits generated for the day will be donated to the CCA.
Community involvement is a core value of the restaurant, according to owner Nick Sarillo. “We have a responsibility to the community in which we do business, and what better way to honor our neighbors than to support a local children’s foundation.”
This is the eighth year that Nick’s Pizza & Pub is hosting the CCA benefit. Guests are invited to support the CCA by dining in or carrying out anytime on April 28 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Kid-friendly activities will be taking place at the restaurant throughout the day, including face painting, crafts and a fun photo opportunity to get a picture taken with the Nick’s Pizza & Pub moose for just $1! From 6 to 8 p.m., guests of all ages can participate in a rousing game of bingo in the banquet room, complete with popcorn and chances to win prizes.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Nick’s Pizza & Pub for the eighth annual benefit,” says Shawna Egan, founder and president of the CCA. “Each year, the restaurant’s team assists us in making the benefit more successful than the last. What a perfect example of how businesses and nonprofit organizations can work together to improve our communities.”
Along with dine-in and carryout, guests can purchase tickets for admission into the CCA Benefit Tent in the Nick’s Pizza & Pub parking lot from 6 to 10 p.m. This tent will feature pizza, local craft beers, games for the family and more. Silent and live auctions will take place inside the tent, along with cash raffles and other prizes. Tickets are $40 per adult, $10 for ages 13 to 20, and free for kids 12 and under. For more information or to purchase tickets for the tent activities, call 815.759.7061.
