Maple Sugaring Days
See the time-honored method of collecting sap and making maple syrup the old-fashioned way during Maple Sugaring Days to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 12 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Admission is $9 adults, $8 seniors and $6.50 youth (4-17). Visit www.napersettlement.museum for more information.
History Speaks Lecture Series Toulouse-Lautrec: Decadence & Spectacle in Fin-de-siècle Paris
As part of the History Speaks Lecture Series, art historian Jeff Mishur will give a presentation on the major works of Impressionist painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 13 in Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Weed Ladies Spring Floral Sale
The Weed Ladies spring floral sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 18-19 in Naper Settlements historic Daniels House, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. The sale features one-of-a-kind seasonal arrangements featuring dried and silk florals. Admission to the sale is free.
Camp Naper registration is open
Discover the secrets of the past and present when Camp Naper weekly summer day camps begin on June 20 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Choose from one of four camps: Secret Seekers, Treasure Hunters and T.H.E. Detectives Treasure Hunters Extreme for grades 1-6 and a Civil War Encampment for grades 6-8. During each session, campers will look for hidden treasures both on the grounds and around the community. Middle school Civil War enthusiasts will enjoy camping overnight in the fort during the Civil War Encampment, where parents can join in the fun, too.
