The Future Of Hollywood May Be In Elgin!
05/29/2009 – Dont be surprised if you see video cameras, spot lights, and boom microphones all throughout downtown Elgin and surrounding areas this summer. Burgeoning film makers will be out in force vying for their chance to win big money in the inaugural Elgin Short Film Festival.
You will not want to miss all the details, criteria, prizes of trophies and money, after show activities, and more when you attend the Press Conference on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Hemmens Cultural Center at 4:00pm.
The Hemmens Cultural Center and The City of Elgin will be presenting the inaugural Elgin Short Film Festival on September 26, 2009. The festival is sponsored in part by the Palmer Foundation, The Cultrual Arts Commission, and Fox Valley Beaux Arts.
Director of Sales for the Elgin Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Pete Garlock, will Chair the Elgin Short Film Festival and host the June 2nd Press Conference. Mr. Garlock is also a member of the Hemmens Advisory Board since 2004.
