02/04/2008 – The Elgin Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (EACVB) is proud to announce the release of their 2008 Annual Visitors Guide.

The 2008 Annual Visitors Guide comes alive with dynamic images of Chicagoland’s Northern Fox River Valley. “Using local business professionals and families to be the models of this year’s book gives the guide a sense of community.” states Brent Edwards, Director of Marketing for the EACVB. “We used our beautiful region as the backdrop so when visitors see the photos, they can really imagine themselves being here.” continued Edwards.

The 2008 Visitors Guide is the premier indicator of what there is to see and do within Chicagoland’s Northern Fox River Valley. The guide is packed with hotel accommodations, Dining Options, Attractions, Shopping Styles, and Services. “The Visitors Guide is our number one fulfillment piece and is a strong marketing tool used to promote our region. Thousands of our guides are mailed and delivered to people interested in visiting the area.” states Kimberly Bless, President and CEO of the EACVB.

The Visitors Guide is a 40 page, full color, magazine loaded with listings for the partners of the EACVB. The guide has a regional map for locating venues, a coupon page, and is packed with advertising offering special discounts at area restaurants and attractions. The guide also has a two page calendar of events showcasing a sample of the area’s top events for the year.
