Local members enjoy the option to pick up monthly wines at solo as well as lots of other exciting events.

This is another favorite wine shop that offers wine by the bottle to purchase. On Wine Down Wednesday you can buy these bottles for $3 off the original price. In addition to the fabulous option of wine, this store also offers great desserts. They have cupcakes, truffles, and exotic popcorn. Buy a bag of either one of these desserts and make a basket of food and wine for that special mom in your life.
Klein’s Farm and Garden Market

Need flowers? They’re always a great touch to your mother’s day gift. Klein’s is a local flower market that can provide you with fresh, beautiful flowers that are a step up from the last minute supermarket flower selection. They have annuals like impatiens, petunias, and marigolds and other new varieties of flowers including verbena, million bells, mini petunia, and sun-loving coleus. If your mother is really into gardening and planting, there are hanging baskets and patio planters available as well. Personally, my mother loves local produce and flowers and likes to shop around when she’s at these markets. This market has pure maple syrup and local honey available if your mom is anything like mine.

*Side note: Check out the May exhibit at Side Street Studio Arts that is a celebration of Mother’s Day. Its a visual art exhibition and a performance on May 9th at 7:00PM featuring the work of the children of artists and artists inspired by their mothers.
