Day One

Upon arriving in the Northern Fox River Valley, your coach transfers you to your host hotel where you check in, relax, and refresh for dinner this evening.

Begin your culinary adventure tonight with an exciting trip to the Anvil Club, located in historic East Dundee. Established in 1956, The Anvil Club is Chicago’s Premier Private Dining Club, renowned for great steaks & seafood and unsurpassed service. Contact the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau for special day passes into this exclusive dining experience. A special tour of the history of the club can also be arranged.

Day Two

This morning enjoy a truly unique breakfast at Benedicts Eggs & More. This wonderful restaurant offers delicious coffee, eggs, pastries, and their famous pancakes!! Your group is sure to enjoy this charming renovated homestead which is a must-see for everyone!

PrimeBurger House / Francesca’s Italian Restaurant / Elgin Public House
After a delicious breakfast, take an enjoyable tour of the area and a scenic drive along the Fox River. The motorcoach will then drop you off at your choice of one of the following locations for lunch:

Stop #1: PrimeBurger House
You want a better burger? Then build it yourself at Prime BurgerHouse. Choose from a variety of toppings that range from the traditional to the exotic. Feel like something even more intoxicating? Try one of Prime’s sexy signature cocktails or specialty beers.

Stop #2: Jimmy’s Charhouse

Enjoy lunch at Jimmy’s Charhouse. Whether you desire tasty appetizers, a crisp che’s salad, scrumptious shrimp alfredo, a savory boneless chicken breast sandwich, or a hearty charbroiled steak dinner, Jimmy’s Charhouse of Elgin will satisfy your craving!

Stop #3: Elgin Public House
Known as a local favorite, Elgin Public House boasts outstanding service and an upscale pub-style menu featuring angus steaks and fresh seafood.

Fox River Trolley Museum & The Village Squire South
Once everyone is on board the coach, your tour continues to South Elgin where your group enjoys the Fox River Trolley Museum, one of the only trolley museums in North America. Nestled in a beautifully remote and secluded forest preserve, you enjoy relaxing and scenic ride through the preserve inside a magnificently restored trolley car. Once at the museum we are treated to a fascinating glimpse of the trolley’s history, provided by one of the many knowledgeable historians available at the museum. Afterward your group will enjoy lunch at the Village Squire, an English pub-style casual dining restaurant, featuring nightly live music and a cozy, unique atmosphere.

Transfer back to your hotel to relax and freshen-up for this evening dining experience.

Tonight your group will enjoy an evening of fine dining at its very best at the award-winning Francesca’s Campagna, a restaurant with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, good, rustic cooking, friendly service and fair prices. The menu features the zesty earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. After dinner, board the Grand Victoria Casino riverboat which boasts over 1,100 exciting slots, a countless variety of Vegas-style table games, gaming promotions and giveaways. Also be sure to check their entertainment schedule for which group may be performing while you are in town.

Day Three

Alexander’s Restaurant
After everyone has checked out and boarded the motorcoach, treat your group to an enjoyable breakfast meal at this wonderful family restaurant. Alexander’s provides everything you need to start your morning off right, from a delicious cup of coffee, eggs, pastries…and who can resist their famous pancakes.

State Street Market Shops
A much-needed walking and shopping stop is in order as our next visit takes us to State Street Market Shops. A unique variety of quaint shops located in a 1920’s millworks building, State Street Market has been charmingly transformed into a shopper’s delight with over unique 35 shops to browse and buy. If you still have room after breakfast, be sure to visit the State Street Market Cafe.

Toom Toom Thai
For lunch, experience a true culinary cultural delight with delicious and authentic Thai food prepared by Thai people in a fun atmosphere.

After lunch, group departs for home.
