Welcome to the Fox River Trolley Museum! Here, you will enjoy a nostalgic trip back to an era when the electric trolley car was a vital part of American life. Experience the sights and sounds of this unique part of American history aboard a genuine old-time trolley car which takes you on a four mile round trip along the banks of the scenic Fox River. The museum operates a variety of antique trolleys; many from lines long vanished, over trolley tracks that once connected Carpentersville, Elgin, South Elgin, Saint Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora, and Yorkville. Our Museum theme is Education Through Demonstration. You get to learn the history of trolleys by riding a trolley. Plus, this year the Museum has some exciting Special Events in store for our visitors. May sees Mothers Day with all Moms getting free rides and a free carnation. June sees Rails to Victory and Trolley Tours of Occupied France, Fathers Day where all Dads ride Free. July has Red White and Blue Value Day on Independence Day. August has South Elgin River Fest. October has Pumpkin Trolley, and Ghost Story Trolley. December is the famous Polar Express. Your visit to the Fox River Trolley Museum can be educational and fun for the entire family.
Goebbert’s is a family owned pumpkin patch and farm market, celebrating its 67th year in 2015. We are located in Hampshire, Illinois. We treat our employees as family and love our customers. If you have not been to our farm, we would love for you to give us a try.
In 1985, we purchased this 200 acre farm in Hampshire, Illinois. This location has a shorter season where we are open to the general public, but we are plenty busy throughout the entire year. Throughout our off-season, we are keeping up on maintenance work around the farm for our equipment and various buildings on the farm. Also, we are devoting quite a bit of time towards new ideas to make our farm & fall festival a better experience for you and your family. In the middle of February, we begin the spring planting of our annuals that will be sold in the greenhouses at Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center. Our greenhouses will be filled to capacity with grab & go planters, hanging baskets, 4″ pots, herbs and more just waiting to be moved over to South Barrington so we can keep on growing! From April 15th to July 20th, we begin planting our vegetable crops & pumpkin plants – the sweet corn and tomatoes are put into the ground and harvested when ready. By July 20th, our roadside vegetable stand is open where you can purchase a variety of our homegrown produce.
