In its fourteenth year the Harvest Market is a seasonal and weekly, outdoor farmers market. The market offers and encourages locally grown and sustainably produced food from area businesses who offer fresh, quality vegetables, fruits, bread, meat, olives, spices, and knife sharpening services. The market continually provides an outlet for educational opportunities on sustainable practices and healthy living from local community oriented organizations and businesses. Additionally to supporting local artists the market cultivates a welcoming, accessible family-friendly, and entertaining public space atmosphere in Downtown Elgin. 6/20/13- 6/20/13 Elgin Person on the Week: Jen Hoelzle
Illinois Office of Tourism's Deputy Director, Jen Hoelzle will be visiting the Elgin Area to celebrate travel and tourism in the Fox Valley. To celebrate Pietro, owner of Villa Verone, has declared Jen will be honored as the Elgin Person of the Week on Thursday, June 20th from 6-9:30.
